Work for WALTER

WALTER magazine relies on interns to support our small but mighty team. We offer internships throughout the school year and during the summer. Our internships are for school credit only and can be geared toward editorial, design, advertising or events experiences. Our internships are a great stepping stone for anyone with an interest in writing, communications and/or journalism.

There is always a lot of opportunity for an intern to own projects and take on responsibility. Our goals are to train college students in magazine-style writing and editing, to teach about the ever-changing magazine revenue model, and to sharpen skills in content marketing and branding. Our ideal interns are sharp thinkers, enthusiastic consumers of Triangle culture, and always willing to pitch in on any tasks. Note: you must be able to receive college credit in order to apply for this internship.
