For the eighth year, WALTER honors the outdoors with a sustainable, farm-to-table dinner.
Hear from James Beard award winning chef Ricky Moore and pit-master Matt Register as they collaborate on a unique menu and share the importance of sourcing local ingredients.

An Evening with Beverly McIver & Liza Roberts

THURSDAY, MARCH 23 | CAM, RALEIGH

Be the first to view Beverly McIver’s new exhibition at CAM. The North Carolina native and nationally recognized artist will be joined by Liza Roberts, author of The Art of the State, for an intimate conversation about art and identity. The evening includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and a book signing.


At the Table with Susan Gravely

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5 | TRANSFER CO. FOOD HALL

Learn how to make delicious primis & pastas with Vietri CEO Susan Gravely and her best friend Frances Mayes. Susan will be sharing recipes from her new book Italy on a Plate: Travels, Memories, Menus with the help from chefs and pasta makers from Raleigh’s Alimentari at Left Bank.


WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9 | WHITAKER & ATLANTIC

Over wine and small bites, guests celebrated Frances Mayes’ latest work, A Place in the World: Finding the Meaning of Home. In her talk and interview with her friend Susan Gravely, Mayes shared stories of her travel through the United States to Central America, Africa and beyond.


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12 | THE MERRIMON-WYNNE HOUSE

At this farm-to-table dinner honoring the outdoors, guests enjoyed an exclusive collaborative menu from chef Dean Neff of Seabird in Wilmington, pit master Wyatt Dickson of PICNIC in Durham and Sean Wilson of Fullsteam Brewery in Durham while they learned about the importance of eating local.


FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 | THE UMSTEAD HOTEL & SPA
