Boulevards was the first artist I shot for WALTER magazine, which you may have seen on the April 2018 cover. Seeing them this past weekend at the Lincoln Theater made me feel like I’ve come full circle.

Boulevards is one of my favorite local artists and this time wasn’t any different, delivering a powerfully dandy funk show for his fans.

Boulevards is the stage name of Jamil Rashad, a Raleigh native.

Zack Mexico opened the set.

And Kooley High played second.
