More than 100 people gathered at Historic Oakwood Cemetery December 19 and 20 for the third annual Oakwood24, an ultra-marathon to raise money for Healing Transitions. The run, led by ultra-marathoner and Healing Transitions alumni Jon Frey, takes place over 24 hours. Supporters signed up to run alongside Frey as he ran 100 miles to raise funds and awareness for addiction and recovery in Wake County. Despite cold, wet weather this year, Frey and his supporters raised more than $76,000 to support the organization.
