Stephen E. Smith is a writer, poet, historian and essayist who grew up in Moore County and attended both Elon University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is a founding member of the North Carolina Writers Network and has received numerous literary awards.

Stu Fjellanger is a practicing artist based in Raleigh and has taught both design and digital art at Meredith College. He has been practicing studio art since 1998, and his work is published, exhibited and owned in America and abroad.
