The Whirl: Beacon Point Groundbreaking

Dec. 8 marked the beginning of the final phase of Beacon Point in Southeast Raleigh, a Purpose-Built Communities initiative. Durham-based nonprofit Self-Help Ventures Fund was selected by the YMCA of the Triangle to develop Beacon Point, which will include a mix of health, wellness, fresh foods and
financial services and provide an estimated 90 permanent jobs.
