On Saturday, November 7 Dix Park hosted its first-ever celebration of Diwali, the Indian festival of lights in partnership with VAE Raleigh. Participants like artist Vanipriya Ponnapalli drew mandalas with chalk in the parking lot across from the Flower Cottage. On Sunday, the art was available for public viewing.
