On Dec. 31, local preservationist Matthew Brown hosted a New Year’s Eve celebration at his home, the historic Lamar Hall. The evening featured music by Raleigh jazz band Sidecar Social Club, snacks from Posh Nosh Catering and Side Street Restaurant, and beverages from Raleigh Wine Shop.
