Use this handy guide to recycling with easy-to-understand illustrations to keep your bins uncontaminated.

Recently, we visited our local materials recycling facility (MRF) to see how all of our recyclable trash gets sorted and turned into bales for recycling. It was eye-opening, to say the least! One of the biggest takeaways: Even the good-intentioned people like me, aka the “wishful recyclers,” can be putting things into recycling that are not recyclable, clogging up the works. The government is working to make it more and more clear, and I found this guide to be the easiest one yet to understand what you can and can’t recycle. Download it, bookmark it or laminate it for your fridge to make sure you’re recycling right!
