There’s something particularly enticing about a spot that combines open-air ambience with food and drink… especially if that spot is hundreds of feet in the air. With the start of a new season, we have gathered Raleigh’s best rooftop spots to share a cocktail (or two) with friends while taking in the brilliant views our city has to offer. Whether you are in the mood for international concoctions with a modern twist, a traditional Greek atmosphere, a casual open-air brewery or just a place to lounge, there is something on this list for everyone.
10th and Terrace
Head on up to this 10th floor (heated!) rooftop, where you can enjoy a wide variety of skyline sips, as well as carefully curated apps. If you are looking for more of a meal, enjoy the Overlook Restaurant menu for creative takes on American cuisine. 10th and Terrace has both an inside dining lounge and outside patio, and is conveniently located for pre-performance dining (right next to Red Hat Amphitheater and Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts). La Terrazza
This ninth floor rooftop restaurant opened in the spring and has quickly turned into a Raleigh favorite. This historic building, constructed in 1906, once held the location for the headquarters of one of Raleigh’s most influential newspapers, The Raleigh Times. Though this paper was bought by the News & Observer in 1955, memorabilia of this iconic part of Raleigh’s past still adorn the walls of the now bar.
